The short answer

Cabinetry and furniture made in China can usually enter Australia at a preferential, often zero, duty rate under ChAFTA when a Certificate of Origin accompanies the shipment. GST of 10% applies on import. Australia prohibits asbestos and engineered stone benchtops, and solid-timber packaging must meet ISPM 15. Your customs broker confirms the classification and rate for your goods. For Australian projects, we assemble cabinets in our factory before shipping, so installation on site is quick and needs fewer local labour hours.

On your side of the project

Measured locally, assembled in Foshan, installed fast.

We work with a local measuring team in Australia and have local partners from many Australian projects. Cabinets for Australia are fully assembled in our factory before shipping, so your installer fits finished units instead of building flat-packs on site — saving time on expensive local labour. Factory installers can also travel to site by agreement. Team, scope, fees and travel or visa conditions are confirmed for each project.

A few useful answers

Before we begin.

Do I pay import duty on cabinets from China?

With a valid ChAFTA Certificate of Origin, most cabinetry of Chinese origin qualifies for a preferential rate, usually zero. Your customs broker confirms it for your shipment.

Can you supply a quartz benchtop?

Engineered stone benchtops, panels and slabs are prohibited imports in Australia. We can discuss sintered stone or porcelain without resin, natural stone, timber or stainless steel alternatives; confirm the exact material with your broker before ordering.

How do I prove the goods are asbestos-free?

The importer is responsible. We share board specifications and supplier certificates, and testing can be arranged for higher-risk materials before shipping.

Do cabinets arrive flat-packed or assembled?

For Australia we assemble cabinets in our factory before shipping, so on-site installation is much faster. Assembled cabinets take more container space, which is reflected in the freight quote.

Can someone measure my site in Australia?

Yes. We work with a local measuring team in Australia. Tell us your suburb and timing on WhatsApp.
