For hotel, motel and serviced-apartment projects in Australia and New Zealand, we make guestroom joinery and coordinate loose furniture to the designer’s FF&E schedule. A sample room or key pieces are approved before the batch. Your specifier names the standards that apply; we agree any third-party testing, packaging, room labels and destination arrangements before manufacture.
Wardrobes, luggage benches, headboard walls, bedside tables, desks, minibar and TV units, bathroom vanities and mirrors.
Kitchenettes, laundry cabinets, wardrobes, storage, dining and living furniture.
Reception desks, lobby seating, restaurant banquettes, dining furniture and feature wall panelling.
Repeated room packages, with production and shipment phases agreed by building or floor.
Requirements depend on the country, building use, room and product. These are examples your specifier may nominate. A reference in this table does not establish that it applies to every Australian or New Zealand hotel.
| Topic | Reference to review | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Board specifications and emissions | AS 1859.1:2017 — Particleboard; AS/NZS 1859.2:2017 — Dry process fibreboard | Agree the board, emission class and report method with your specifier. Review supplier reports for that board. |
| Structural plywood, when specified | AS/NZS 2269.0:2012 — Plywood - Structural, Part 0: Specifications | Applies to structural plywood. It is not a general specification for every furniture plywood. |
| Freestanding furniture stability | AS/NZS 4935:2009, including Amd 1:2013 — Domestic furniture: determination of stability | Confirm applicability to the unit and its intended use. Agree anti-tip provisions and any sample testing. |
| Chair strength and durability | AS/NZS 4688.2:2000 — Fixed height chairs: determination of strength and durability | Confirm the test and usage requirements for the approved sample chair. |
| Built-in cabinetry and kitchenettes | AS 4386:2018, including Amd 1:2023 — Cabinetry in the built-in environment — Commercial and domestic | Prepare drawings to the project specification and agree site and installation responsibilities. |
| Wall and ceiling linings | AS 5637.1:2015 — Determination of fire hazard properties, Part 1: Wall and ceiling linings | For Australian projects, your fire engineer identifies the NCC requirements. New Zealand requirements are checked separately. |
| Asbestos controls | Australian Border Force and New Zealand EPA import rules | Review material risk and evidence before shipping. Where required, use a suitably accredited laboratory; a supplier declaration alone does not establish a test result. |
We do not claim default certification to every standard. We agree applicable tests, the approved sample, the accredited laboratory and the evidence needed before shipment. Displayed CE and FSC documents belong to our board and material suppliers.
We review projects from one sample room or a single motel refurbishment to full-property roll-outs. The sample comes first either way; freight and destination costs are assessed for your order.
Drawings and sample confirmation usually take 7–14 days. Production typically takes 30–45 days after sample approval, then allow for sea freight and clearance. These are planning references; materials, quantities, revisions and capacity determine the agreed program. Larger properties can be phased by floor or building.
For Australian projects, a local measuring team and project-specific local partners can support the order. Casegoods can be factory assembled before shipping. Site fixing, services and final installation still require a defined local scope. Factory installers may travel by agreement, subject to country, team availability, fees and visa conditions. New Zealand arrangements are confirmed separately.
Yes. We agree a complete sample room or key sample pieces and obtain approval before batch production.
Send your specifier’s requirements. We review the applicable country, product and test method, then agree any testing of the approved sample with a suitably accredited laboratory. We do not claim blanket certification to every listed standard.
For applicable solid-timber packaging we arrange the agreed approved treatment and legible ISPM 15 marking. Wholly processed-wood packaging can be outside ISPM 15, but your broker must still check destination import conditions and any solid-timber components.
The board type, emission class and test method are specified for your project. We review the particular board supplier’s reports before production; an E0 or E1 label alone is not proof of every project requirement.
No. We can review one sample room, a single motel refurbishment or a full-property roll-out. Scope, freight and destination costs are assessed for the order.
Yes. We can agree production and shipping phases by floor or building, coordinated with your site program and receiving team.
Yes. We coordinate the agreed packaging and shipment documents with your broker for MPI requirements. Installation is arranged with your local contractor or separately agreed with our team.
